Westgate Hall regularly welcomes social enterprise Discovery Catering to our community venue in the heart of Canterbury city centre.

This wonderful group of people with and without learning difficulties, comes together every week to gain skills in cooking and catering.

Discovery Catering

The group is supported to develop and prepare recipes, learn about healthy eating and use kitchen equipment. This leads to members working towards achieving qualifications in hospitality and catering and are supported to work at local catering events.

Bemix supports adults with learning difficulties to speak up and make choices that are right for them. Specifically, Bemix supports people to become more independent in learning, housing, work, health, money, travel, hobbies / activities and relationships.

Canterbury Festival

The much-loved long-standing Kent's International Arts event, Canterbury Festival, is coming to Westgate Hall from 15 - 29 October 2022, bringing world-renowned artists, musicians, comedians and performers to Canterbury, for the whole community to enjoy and participate in.

Canterbury Academy Trust

We support young people as they practise, rehearse and perform their creative skills during their studies at the "school of all talents", providing a large space for them to thrive and flourish as part of their training.

NHS Blood donations

Taking care of our community is important to us. Trusted by the NHS, our spacious, hygienic Hall has hosted blood donation sessions for years. We have continued to do so throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, providing a safe space for vital health sessions.

Canterbury Wine Festival

We are host and founder of the Canterbury Wine Festival - an annual event showcasing Kent's world-class wines and viticulture, in the heart of the vineyard of England. Kent is the epicentre of England’s viticulture scene and we want to let the whole world know about it through our festival!
