18th October 2024
Canterbury Festival returns to Westgate Hall for 2 weeks of entertainment!
Friday 18 October, Doors 7.15pm | Showtime 8pm
Tickets £45 (includes light bites and a welcome glass of fizz)
Join us on Festival Eve as we celebrate our 40th Birthday in style! Since 1984 Canterbury Festival has championed the arts across our historic city, bringing colour to the autumnal days of October with the very best in music, performance and much more.
Tonight, we mark our Ruby Jubilee with a fun filled fundraiser so expect comedy, spectacle, dancing and an electric Festival atmosphere. The night features a programme brimming with talent presented by Festival favourite and cabaret triple threat Abigail Collins. Don’t miss magician and standup comedian El Baldiniho, record breaking ping-pong juggler and card trickster Rob Laver, the gravity defying feats of acrobatics from Andrei Tazlauanu and two spectacular performances by Miss Isabella Bliss.
The evening will continue with an auction of promises with prizes generously donated by Festival supporters and all profits helping to support our annual Festival and year-round public engagement projects.
After the interval our very own House Band, The KD Jazz and Dance Orchestra play us out with a set that is guaranteed to get you on your feet and dancing until it’s time to go.
We are excited to be working with the students and lecturers from the Catering department at Canterbury College with the evening forming part of the students’ valuable work experience.
Tables of six and ten are available or come as individuals or couples and make new friends.
