Preparations are under way for the Grand Christmas Fayre on the 5th of December. When we started researching the history of the Hall we came across this wonderful picture from 1955 of Father Christmas on a sleigh, with a group of scouts advertising a Grand Christmas Fayre. It seemed a very good tradition to revive!
So on the 5th of December come to the Hall and get into the Christmas spirit, there will be wonderful arts and crafts stalls where you can buy unique Christmas presents, local food stalls, music, perhaps a play, dancing, children’s activities and entertainment… and Father Christmas has promised to come along too. And while doing this you can contribute to Saving the Westgate Hall and help make Canterbury a friendlier place to live.
