Canterbury Festival – Jack Hues with friends from Syd Arthur and Led Bib

A unique opportunity to hear The Quartet combine Syd Arthur’s rock roots and Led Bib’s free jazz sensibilities into a fusion that continues the legacy of the Canterbury Sound of the late 1960s and 1970s.

Back in 2019, Jack Hues and The Quartet combined forces with members of the legendary Canterbury rock band Syd Arthur and Mercury Prize winners Led Bib to tour their explorations of music by Radiohead, Beck, Soft Machine and Talk Talk together with original compositions. Tonight’s performance will launch a brand new live album entitled Epigonal Quark, assembled from those critically acclaimed gigs. This will be a unique opportunity to hear The Quartet combine Syd Arthur’s rock roots and Led Bib’s free jazz sensibilities into a fusion that continues the legacy of the Canterbury Sound of the late 1960s and 1970s.
