Canterbury Festival – Megson

Canterbury Festival returns to Westgate Hall for two weeks of entertainment.

Four times nominated in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and double winners of the Spiral Earth Awards, Megson create a truly original brand of folk music. Comprising Debs Hanna (vocals, whistle, piano accordion) and Stu Hanna (guitar, mandola, banjo) they combine heavenly vocals, lush harmonies and driving guitar rhythms with arresting and intelligent lyrics. Throw in a bit of banter with the audience and each other, and as FROOTS Magazine puts it, ‘If you don’t like the music here then you have a problem’.
