Canterbury Festival returns to Westgate Hall for two weeks of entertainment.
Roll up, roll up for the best party in town to launch the 2023 Canterbury Festival and help raise funds for the Festival, and our partner charity Catching Lives.
Expect an evening of circus, comedy, magic, glamour, and live music as we kick off the 2023 Canterbury Festival in style. Hosted by Festival favourite the lovely Miss Abigail Collins, there will be daring feats of skill, with some comedy thrown in from two of the Slightly Fat Features troupe, Matt Barnard and Gareth Jones, stunning magic from Mr Josh King and a saucy appearance from Miss Constance Peach.
The evening will continue with an auction of promises with prizes generously donated by Festival supporters and all profits shared between the two charities.
Then it’s time to kick off your shoes, get on the dance floor and trip the light fantastic to the Festival’s House Band, the wonderful KD Jazz and Dance Orchestra, who will be playing super tunes to keep you moving until it’s time to go.
We are excited to be working with the students and lecturers from the Catering Department at Canterbury College and there will be sumptuous sharing platters on each table, with the evening forming part of the students’ valuable work experience.
Tables of six and ten are available or come as individuals or couples and make new friends.
Friday 20 October, 7.30pm
Tickets £45 (includes sharing platters and a welcome glass of fizz)
