Canterbury Festival comes to Westgate Hall! Dive into a day of digital art and video games.

Come to the afternoon session to play the games on offer and see talks from developers, Canterbury Christ Church University’s students and academics, including videogame historian Dr. Alan Meades. We are thrilled to welcome an ensemble of Canterbury Christ Church University musicians who will be performing a selection of classics video game themes including Donkey Kong 64’s Creepy Castle, Super Mario 4, DragonQuest and Legend of Zelda.
Go head-to-head in Surgeball, a team-based soccer-shooter where players have to literally shoot the ball into the goal in a futuristic arena. Put on a (well-sanitised) VR headset and smash a city to pieces in Mechanize.
